My trips to Ireland

My first international mission trip was to Europe! The Republic of Ireland to be exact! Ireland meets almost every stereotype there is, from the green grass, hospitable people and awesome pubs.
I went with Stonebriar Community Church, to Galway City which is on the west coast of Ireland. Stonebriar went to Galway every October for 3 years and I was blessed to have the opportunity to go all three. God actually closed the doors of college for two of those years so I could focus on Ireland. While we were there we helped the missionary pastors there build up leaders for their church Galway City Baptist Church and help them build relationships inside the community.  The first year we went the church had about 70 people and mostly kids, the second year about 100 and still mostly kids, the third year GCBC had grown to about 130 people!

One of my favorite things about this church is that they represent at least 50 different nations around the world!! Several are from different countries in Africa, India, Poland, Romania, England, (just a couple) from Ireland, the States and many more.
I was able to develop a personal relationship with several of the families from this church and every year it got harder to say good bye.
So please be praying for Galway City Baptist Church and the missionaries that are there. Jason and Mandy Post (and their 4 kids), Tim and Joan Cummings, Kirk and Sandlin Poth and the newest addition to the team Michael and Debbie Bannon. Kirk and Sandlin are actually in the process of starting a sister church in a nearby city, so please be praying for them!
These are a combination of all three trips. i tried to organize them but blogger didn't like that idea.

RUTH!

This past summer I took another trip to Ireland, but I didn't go with Stonebriar. I went with an organization called Adventures in Missions, and they have some missionaries in the southern part of Ireland running a youth drop in center called The Anchor. We ran the drop in center for two weeks. I was also able to visit my friends in Galway before I met up with my team to run the drop in center.
